On 10 August 2021, EuroCham Cambodia successfully kicked off its Tax Summer Series with the first session on “Tax in the Digital Era” which welcomed over 180 attendees.
The audience gained valuable knowledge and insights from the team of assembled speakers: Chum Socheat (Co-Chair of the EuroCham Tax Committee and Tax Manager at R&T Sok & Heng Law Office), Matthew Tippetts (Chairman at EuroCham ICT Committee & Co-Founder, CEO at Clik Payment Cambodia) and Clint O’Connell (Partner & Head of the Cambodia Tax Practice at DFDL).
Together they addressed a wide range of global and local taxation issues around e-commerce and digital services. This included VAT and withholding tax to the ins and outs of obtaining tax incentives and those set to feature in the forthcoming new Law on Investment.
The session ended with an hour of Q&A where the speakers addressed over 30 case studies relevant to the current market.
