On 19-20 September, Neoventure organized “Vietnam LNG-To-Power Summit 2019” in Hanoi, making this its tenth Vietnam Energy series event. This event serves as a one-stop business matching platform for all industry players to share their knowledge and to expand business contacts in Vietnam’s rapid growing LNG sector.
On the first day, DFDL Deputy Head of Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Practice, Dave Seibert spoke at the Summit, highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities on the new and upcoming LNG to power market in Vietnam. In view of that, he provided several practical considerations in which sponsors are currently applying for and that it should be taken into consideration in the future.
The following day, 20 September, Dave moderated a panel, discussing the roles of international sponsors and government support for LNG to power projects. The discussion also included potential project structures and frameworks for investment, as well as the regulatory regime which would be relied upon as projects proceed.
