EMA Power Investment Ltd. (“EMA”) a United Arab Emirates company recently signed a significant joint-venture agreement with Energypac Power Venture, a subsidiary of Energypac. This deal worth approximately USD 16 million represents a sizeable foreign investment into Bangladesh’s burgeoning energy sector and will be used to finance a 115 MW heavy fuel oil-fired power plant project in Thakurgaon province in the Northwest of the country.
