Bernard joins DFDL as a Tax Director for Vietnam, based in our Ho Chi Minh City office. This strategic hire reaffirms DFDL’s commitment to its leading, and ever-expanding, integrated tax and legal capabilities throughout Asia and beyond.

Bernard is widely regarded in Philippines as the “go-to person” for tax advice and compliance, cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions advisory and implementation. He also handles local business tax advisory services, corporate structures and licensing, as well as regulatory and tax compliance.
Formerly with Ernst & Young, where he headed the International Tax Services team, Bernard has over thirteen years’ experience advising international clients in the Philippines. He also has extensive professional experience in the “big-four” in Vietnam.
Bernard holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Journalism) degree from the University of the Philippines.
