On 31 May 2022, DFDL sponsored and was a key participant in “Toward 2065: Thailand Net Emissions Goal” a sustainable energy event in Bangkok organized in collaboration with the French Embassy, Business France and Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Audray Souche (DFDL’s Regional Managing Partner) helped lead one of the event’s workshops, on the financial tools needed to fight climate change, and contributed to discussions on how stakeholders in the energy sector could help Thailand achieve its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2065.
The event brought together thought leaders from Thailand’s public and private sectors to address the challenging topic of carbon and greenhouse gas emissions in the industrial sector. Keynote speakers shared the strategies used by their organizations to support Thailand’s ambitious emissions targets, which include carbon neutrality by 2050.
Three workshops focused on the impact of carbon emissions in different economic sectors, including construction, energy and transportation.
“Toward 2065: Thailand Net Emissions Goal” was an excellent networking opportunity and a chance for companies to show their commitment to supporting Thailand’s sustainable development goals. The participation of the French Embassy and other French business groups further reinforced the strong relationship between France and Thailand.
