Jonathan Blaine, Tax Director Thailand, recently represented DFDL at the ASEAN Investment Immigration Summit and then East Asia Investment Summit.
Jonathan acted as both speaker and moderator at the Investment Immigration Summit East Asia at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Hong Kong on 6-7 November 2017 and at the ASEAN Investment Immigration Summit at the Intercontinental Bangkok, Thailand on 9-10 November.
Jonathan acted as a speaker on panels considering the importance of getting the right pre-immigration tax strategies. He also moderated a seminar on tax concerns and considerations when investors set up new businesses or move existing ones. Throughout the summits, Jonathan was frequently called upon to voice his opinion on numerous taxation matters across Asia.
Among the various topics discussed, key issues of concern raised put Jonathan and the three other panelists in the spotlight. All speakers acquitted themselves remarkably in sharing their expertise, viewpoints, and experience with the assembled guests.
