On 10 March 2022, EuroCham Cambodia and ARISE+ Cambodia organized the breakfast workshop “E-Commerce for Exporting SMEs” at Raintree Cambodia. The event aimed to familiarize companies throughout Cambodia with the E-commerce platforms available to access the domestic and international export markets.
DFDL Cambodia Deputy Head of Banking, Finance & Technology Practice, Nearirath Sreng, joined the workshop and provided the audience with a presentation on Cambodia E-Commerce Law and what it means for companies seeking to sell goods or services online. She discussed key aspects of the law and requirements that online sellers need to be aware of.
Sven Callebaut (International Trade Advisor, MoC and Director of TradeWorthy Ltd) shared the guides he prepared to help SMEs get started on their e-commerce journey. Chris Wray (independent business and technology consultant) discussed useful tips for SMEs when designing an e-commerce portal. Sousachak Sim shared his experience as an international logistics firm in providing services to get products shipped abroad via an e-commerce platform. Monika Nowaczyk (CKO, Cambodia Knits & CEO, BeeBee & Bongo) shared her experience as a successful exporting SME using e-commerce.
The event continued with an insightful panel discussion where the e-commerce experts answered impactful questions.
