On 15 September 2021, DFDL Cambodia Deputy Head of Banking, Finance & Technology Practice, Nearirath Sreng, was pleased to participate in a training seminar ‘Cambodia E-commerce Acceleration Dialogue’ organized by the Ministry of Commerce’s (“MOC“) Enhanced Integrated Framework (“EIF“), the Cambodia E-Business Association (“CEA“) and the Cambodia Digital and Tech Association (“CDTA“).
This event brought leading e-commerce experts and professionals in Cambodia together to discuss major recent changes and developments that have taken place in this space and their implications for various sector particpants.
Nearirath Sreng joined the 2nd session on Cambodia’s new E-commerce Law and the Law on Consumer Protection. She went through all the specific aspects of these regulations and pointed out the applicable penalties and sanctions for non-compliance. She shared important and practical advice for all e-commerce businesses in Cambodia on how to stay compliant with the new rules and avoid the pitfalls that may be encountered by unwitting investors.
