Leif is a Senior Legal Adviser in DFDL's Vietnam team and a member of DFDL's Regional Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Leif works with a broad range of clients on single and multi-jurisdictional mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint venture structuring, project development and related financing arrangements for foreign investors in Vietnam.
He has vast experience in helping small and medium-sized entities and multinational corporations with their projects in the logistics, manufacturing and F&B sectors.
Leif also spends time in DFDL’s Hanoi office, and has also practiced in Europe, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
Leif serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Legal Sector Committee at the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and has held this office since 2021, representing and supporting European investment interests through the chamber’s advocacy network.
He has published several articles that focus on foreign direct investment matters, such as international arbitration/dispute resolution, infrastructure, renewable energies, real estate, intellectual property, corporate governance and ESG regulations.
Leif is qualified to practice law in Germany and has been registered as a foreign lawyer in Vietnam since 2018.
