DFDL Lao’s Managing Director elected to Business Association Board

Brennan Coleman, Managing Director of DFDL’s practice in Lao PDR, was elected to the position of Vice President of the Australian New Zealand Business Association (ANZBA) earlier this month at the organization’s AGM. ANZBA was established in September 2005 as the first foreign chamber of commerce in the Lao PDR. It is a non-profit, unincorporated organization that brings together Australian, New Zealand and other international businesses and individuals in order to promote mutual interests.

“ANZBA developed a great deal under the previous board and is now not only a very enjoyable and effective social networking organization, but also has a genuine business focus.  I am honoured to have been appointed to the board and look forward to carrying on the previous board’s good work in 2013,” Brennan said.

ANZBA’s membership includes ANZ, Phu Bia Mining Limited, Minerals and Metals Group, RM Asia, KPMG, Rio Tinto and many other businesses in Lao PDR.

DFDL’s Lao office is very active in three international business associations in Laos – including ANZBA, the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the newly formed American Chamber of Commerce (set up in association with the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand).
