DFDL Holds Vietnam Tax & Transfer Pricing Updates Webinar
On 24 February 2022, DFDL Vietnam organized a webinar on Tax & Transfer Pricing Updates. This live event aimed to update the audience on recent and important developments to the tax and transfer pricing framework in Vietnam. Jack Sheehan (Partner, Head of Regional Tax Practice) introduced the event and gave an overview of the tax treaties in place in the country with a particular focus on the Multi-lateral Instrument (“MLI”) which Vietnam singed recently. Christine Schwarzl (Regional Transfer Pricing Director) discussed the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”) recent transfer pricing standards and reforms that Vietnam agreed to implement to address domestic tax base erosion and profit shifting. Lieu Phan (Senior Tax Manager) shared her expertise on the annual Corporate Income Tax (“CIT”) preparation and submission and gave useful tips to the audience to avoid common mistakes in the process. Du Nguyen (Tax Partner) ended the presentation by discussing the key transfer pricing compliance requirements for firms doing business in Vietnam. He gave insightful instructions to mitigate and control risks. The event ended with an engaging Q&A session where our experts answered all the participants’ queries. This webinar was a great opportunity to hear from our expert speakers and to learn more about how recent tax developments impact businesses in Vietnam.
