DFDL Mekong continues expansion with key promotion of regional partner

The board of DFDL Mekong has nominated M. William Greenlee as a new Regional Partner. As DFDL expands, so does the need for strong and dedicated management. This move is a naturalWG_Press_Release progression of William’s career at DFDL Mekong and is an excellent selection and a well-deserved appointment.

William joined DFDL in 2009 as Country Manager Director for Lao P.D.R. In this role, he has acted for numerous “big ticket” transactions including acting for ANZ, providing advice on security enforcement options and assistance for the security termination and release process in relation to the transfer of a 90% interest in Lane Xang Mining Company Limited from OZ Minerals to Minmetals, China (US$300 M Investment). He also acted as local counsel to Ex-Im Bank of China in relation to a 120 MW hydropower project (US$200 M Investment). Prior to joining DFDL, William negotiated, structured and drafted relevant agreements for large-scale, multinational transactions. He also served as Board Member of Angkor Capital Bank, Cambodia and Lao Capital Bank, Laos and advised shareholders as to long-term business strategies, detailing operations and investments throughout Asia.

William has notable expertise in negotiating, structuring, documenting and managing large private equity and opportunity fund companies and transactions. His practice reaches, but is not limited to, international transactions, project financing, mergers and acquisitions, international joint ventures, private equity, corporate, banking, mining, hydroelectric, hospitality, gaming.

With his appointment, William will bring a tremendous amount of leadership with an eye to further  regional development and grow existing opportunities. He recently declared “ Still waiting for his comment” + comment from DDD.

William holds a B.A. degree from the University of Oregon in Asian Studies, a minor in East Asian Literature and Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco, California. William is a member of the State Bar of California, State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of California International Law Section and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. He began his career at the District Court for State of Nevada.
