Ng Woan Na Appointed as New Director of the Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce

DFDL wishes to congratulate Ng Woan Na (Regional Legal Adviser, China Desk) who last month was appointed as Director of the Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (“MTCC”) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Established since 2002, the MTCC has been bringing Malaysian businesses operating in Thailand together and helping them to forge durable and meaningful partnerships with Thai enterprises, and facilitating trade links between Malaysia, Thailand and by extension with neighboring ASEAN countries. Woan Na has been actively involved in the MTCC’s meetings and events over the past few months. She will be focusing on important Chamber businesses mainly under the auspices of the: Seminars and Conferences, Publication, and Digital Innovation Committees. Her appointment as Director is a salutary recognition of her efforts over the months in elevating the MTCC’s profile and by bringing fresh zeal to and re-invigorating its activities in Thailand thus far especially during times which could hardly be described as opportune.

Woan Na’s primary areas of practice are corporate and commercial matters. She has experience in advising both local and international firms in Malaysia on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, take-overs, joint-venture structuring, rights issues and regulatory compliance. She also has extensive expertise in the domain of data privacy regulations. As a highly competent and skilled practitioner with a wealth of experience accumulated in both Malaysia and Thailand, we are confident that Woan Na will prove to be a perfect fit for this role and that the MTCC will benefit greatly from her leadership and dynamism.
