DFDL advised the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM) on its USD 10 million senior loan to Nam A Bank, a leading Vietnamese joint-stock commercial bank. The facility supports the growth of Nam A Bank’s green lending portfolio and expands access to finance for women-owned and women-led SMEs.
The facility is accompanied by a parallel USD 10 million investment from financial inclusion funds managed by responsibility Investments AG, SIFEM’s portfolio manager. This brings the total international commitment to USD 20 million. The transaction forms part of Nam A Bank’s efforts to diversify its international funding base, having secured close to USD 350 million in international capital since early 2026.
DFDL acted as Vietnam counsel to SIFEM, advising on all Vietnamese law aspects of the financing, including drafting and negotiating the transaction documents.
