On 2 September 2025, the National Standards Council endorsed 73 standards for adoption as Myanmar Standards (MMS) under Notification No. 075/2025, in accordance with Section 33(b) of the Law on Standardization.
These standards cover key sectors, including:
- Electrical and Photovoltaic Systems: Safety, performance, and maintenance standards for measurement equipment, low-voltage and solar PV systems, lightning protection, energy storage systems, and electrical cables.
- Food Safety and Agriculture: Standards for infant formula, baby foods, mineral water, salt, milk-based blended products, farming, and food manufacturing practices.
- Industrial Chemicals and Materials: Technical specifications and testing methods for propanols, ammonium sulphate, Anhydrous ammonia, ethylene, propylene, and gears.
- Pumps and Bearings: End-suction centrifugal pumps, rotodynamic pump specifications, hydraulic performance tests, and rolling bearing standards.
- Construction and Building Materials: Requirements for curved and safety glass used in buildings.
- Healthcare and Laboratories: Medical laboratory standards on quality, competence, reference measurements, and risk management.
- Conformity Assessment: Competence requirements for auditing and certifying healthcare and information security management systems.
- Consumer Products and Agriculture Commodities: Standards for green gram, coconut, Aloe vera, Noni, Vasaka, Brucea javanica, Alstonia scholaris, and natural rubber.
- Election Technology: Standards on electronic voting machines.
- Automotive: UNECE regulations on tyre performance and vehicle tyre fitting.
