On 8 October 2025, the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce issued Export and Import Newsletter No. (6/2025) (the “Newsletter”), announcing updated trade service fees applicable to all online platforms, including the Myanmar Tradenet 2.0 system. This Newsletter supersedes the previous Export and Import Newsletters No. (5/2018) and No. (18/2020). The newly revised service fees will take effect on 15 October 2025.

Other Fees
- Import licence renewal fees, including for goods exempted from licence fees, will be at the prescribed import licence fee.
- Penalties for the first and second renewal or amendment of export/import licences or permits, as well as for the surrender of import licences or permits, remain unchanged at MMK 5,000 (within one month of expiry) and MMK 10,000 (more than one month from expiry).
- The export or import licence surrender fee is set at MMK 30,000.
Important Compliance
- Re-applications for a license after its surrender will not be accepted if submitted more than 14 days after the license expires.
- License amendment applications must be submitted in advance, before the arrival of the goods at Myanmar ports or airports.
