DFDL Vietnam assisted ANZ in the sale of its 17.50 per cent stake in Saigon Securities Incorporation (SSI), a leading securities company in Vietnam listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange. The Chairman of the securities firm, Nguyen Duy Hung and a group of Vietnamese investors are reported to be the buyers of ANZ’s stake. The terms of the sale are confidential but the deal value is about USD90 mil based on close price of market on Monday 29 September.
Interestingly Jerome Buzenet, Partner; Managing Director Vietnam led the team of DFDL advising on the transaction which includes Hoang Phong Anh, Nguyen Quynh Hoa, Vu Minh Phuong, and Hoang Thanh Tam. Interestingly, Jerome was already leading the team of lawyers who assisted ANZ when it invested in SSI in 2007.
