“DFDL Myanmar: Senior Burmese Lawyer appointed partner”
The DFDL’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the promotion of Thida Aye to Country Partner for Myanmar effective 1 July 2013.
Thida is one of the most experienced qualified Burmese lawyer today in duty in the country. Thida brings over 20 years of legal experience in Myanmar . Her practice includes contracts, transportation, corporate, real estate, energy, finance, litigation, energy and telecommunications.
Thida began her legal career in 1984 as a trainee in the Supreme Court of Myanmar. In 1985, she became a Judicial Officer in the Township Court and over the next eight years, assumed the roles of Staff Officer, Civil Judge, and Administrative/General Services Officer in the judiciary of Myanmar. In 1997, she left government service and joined Russin and Vecchi, which later became DFDL Myanmar, as an Associate.
Thida possesses a diploma in English (University of Foreign Languages, Myanmar) and a Bachelor of Laws (University of Yangon, Myanmar). She speaks Myanmar and English.
Thida is regularly mentioned in the international legal directories as a leading professional.
