DFDL Vietnam is proud to have served as local legal counsel to Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) in connection with the signing of definitive agreements for the acquisition of Paradox, an AI-powered conversational talent acquisition platform.
The Vietnam legal assistance to Workday on this milestone transaction was delivered by the DFDL legal team. Their deep understanding and expertise in the legal and strategic dimensions ensured that the transactional framework was both sound and aligned with Workday’s vision as a leader in high-volume, front-line hiring. The complexity of the transaction and its deal size of approximately US$ 1 billion (subject to customary purchase price adjustments), reinforces DFDL as the go-to legal counsel in Vietnam for technology transactions.
“Working on this significant acquisition together with Orrick (Workday’s lead legal counsel) and Workday’s team has been an exciting assignment. The proposed acquisition of Paradox represents more than just a transaction – it is a strategic step toward reshaping the future of talent acquisition through AI. It has been a privilege to guide Workday on Vietnam complex matters in advancing its vision to deliver smarter, more engaging candidate experiences,” said Jerome Buzenet, Partner at DFDL Vietnam.
Jerome Buzenet, Tu Can, and Standre Bezuidenhout led the DFDL team that advised Workday. The team also included Uyen Nguyen, ThiTrang Nguyen, Khanh Le, Quan Doan, and Huyen Vu.
