On 29 October 2020, Kristy Newby (Partner, Country Managing Director, Lao PDR & Co-Head of the Regional Compliance & Investigations Practice) participated as panelist on the ‘COVID and Beyond: Foreign Investment Opportunities in Lao PDR’ discussion at the Indo-Pacific Business Forum breakfast held in Vientiane. Kristy discussed the impacts of COVID-19 on the legal industry. Along with other panelists, she discussed potential policy and regulatory initiatives that could be pursued to continue to attract FDI in a post/continuing COVID-19 Laos.
