Ms. Tran Thi Vu Hanh is promoted to Vietnam Country Partner.
Hanh is a qualified Vietnamese lawyer with over 12 years of experience in real estate, commercial and corporate and project finance. Having continuously worked for international organizations in Vietnam, Cambodia and other countries of the region, she is familiar with various legal environments. This unique capability has seen her successfully assist clients on multi-jurisdiction matters and more importantly, cater to key clients who operate on a cross-border basis. Hanh joined DFDL in 2006 in Cambodia, then in February 2008 as a Senior Lawyer based in DFDL’s Hanoi office in Vietnam. She relocated to Cambodia in 2011 to then join the Real Estate Practice Group. She was promoted to Deputy Head of the Real Estate Practice Group of our Cambodia practice in July 2012, the last position she held prior to this promotion. Mr. Sar Vathana is promoted to Cambodia Country Partner. Vathana has over 14 years legal experience notably in corporate, regulatory and legal and civil & commercial affairs, contractual matters and a thorough knowledge of commercial issues and practices in Cambodia. His areas of expertise cover all corporate and civil & commercial aspects of law and investment in Cambodia including mergers and acquisitions, matters related to telecommunication, tax, investment, property, labor & employment, licensing and contract and corporate law, among others. Over the last seven years, he has developed a strong network in various offices of the government of Cambodia. Through his network, DFDL is able to gain valuable insight on essential regulatory matters and facilitate government transactions which have been very helpful in DFDL’s ability to service our clients. Vathana joined DFDL Cambodia as Legal Adviser in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group in March 2006. He was promoted to Senior Adviser in November 2009 and to Project Manager and Head of Regulatory and Compliance in January 2011. He has a Master’s degree in Business Law (Pannasastra University, Cambodia), Bachelor of Laws (University of Law and Economics, Cambodia), and a Bachelor of Public Administration (Institute of Public Administration, Thailand). “Vathana has demonstrated loyalty and commitment to DFDL, virtues we espouse and worthy of emulation by our personnel.
