Breakfast Briefing: Tax Disputes Procedures in Cambodia – Important Update, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The breakfast briefing  on “Tax Disputes Procedures in Cambodia – Important Update”  examined the recent important updates to the rules and procedures regarding the tax disputes process in Cambodia. There have also been a number of significant recent tax developments in Cambodia that were also touched on.

 Attendees gained invaluable insights into the tax audit process in Cambodia as well as practical insights on what hot issues the tax auditors are currently targeting.

Jack Sheehan, Partner, Regional Tax Practice Group, and Clint O’Connell, Director and Head of Cambodia Tax Practice, presented the topics which covered:

  • An overview of the different types of tax audits in Cambodia and the tax audit process;
  • Recent updates to the rules and procedures regarding the tax audit process;
  • Current “hot issues” with respect to tax audits in Cambodia; and
  • Recent important developments to the tax regime in Cambodia that will impact Cambodian taxpayers as we head into 2016.
