“All Roads Lead to Myanmar: Vietnam and Myanmar Legal and Tax Comparison”
8 May 2013 – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
It is impossible to ignore the enormous economic, political and social transformation sweeping through Myanmar in recent times. The significant developments in Myanmar’s economic and political landscape are somehow similar to the ones Vietnam experienced over the past couple of decades. Such changes in Myanmar resulted in optimism within the country and the global business community. Although these developments in Myanmar bring immense opportunities for enterprises looking to invest in Myanmar, challenges remain. We discussed the latest developments in Myanmar and how the evolving Myanmar legal and tax environment and its challenges and opportunities compare to that of Vietnam.
DFDL speakers included Jerome Buzenet (Partner; Managing Director, Vietnam); James Finch (Partner, Managing Director; Myanmar) and Bernard Cobarrubias (Tax Director, Vietnam).
