Rupert Haw and Jack Sheehan shared their expertise at the DFDL workshop co-organized by European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Lao PDR (ECCIL) in Luang Prabang. They briefed the attendees on the latest legal and tax updates and discussed issues to consider when investing in the Lao PDR including foreign investment in real estate – structuring options, tax Law, value added tax, tax planning and compliance, double tax treaties and other key tax issues. The attendees learned about the latest legal updates on labor law, enterprise law, social security law, VAT, accounting, and auditing.
