Eduard M. Sato

Eduard M. Sato’s practice focuses on the sectors of technology and startups, with an emphasis on blockchain-related clients. Eduard has advised clients in Asia and the United States for over 20 years, with significant experience in U.S. corporate and securities law.

He has been advising blockchain clients since 1997, when he was primary counsel for a token generation event valued at over USD 22 million. Other past deals include venture capital rounds for a U.S.-based biotech company, private placements totaling USD 20 million for a recycling and materials-science company, and numerous angel rounds.

Previously, Eduard worked for Baker McKenzie in Palo Alto, California, and for Loeb & Loeb LLP, an entertainment law-based firm in Los Angeles, California. He also interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and has served as a lecturer or advisor for several universities in Thailand.

Eduard holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.). He is a member of the State Bar of California and has been permanently based in Thailand since 2006. He speaks English and basic Thai.
