Nishant is head of our Myanmar practice and the Regional Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Based in Yangon, Nishant works with a broad range of clients on single and multi-jurisdictional transactions, general corporate and commercial banking and finance, fintech, capital markets, energy and infrastructure, telecommunications, real estate, aviation, dispute resolution, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint venture structuring, project development and related financing arrangements.

He has a diverse client portfolio and works with leading companies across various sectors. Nishant also spends time in DFDL’s Phnom Penh office and has also practiced in India.

Nishant is ranked as a leading lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific, IFLR, Asialaw and Legal 500. Nishant was also awarded as a 40 EU-India Business Leader 2019 at the European Parliament in Brussels. Chambers Asia quotes clients as saying "Nishant Choudhary is a well-recognised name in Myanmar's legal market. He is noted for his banking specialism, as well as M&A.”

He has published multiple articles on various practice areas ranging from M&A to Real Estate, Banking and Finance, to Insolvency.

Nishant is India Law qualified and holds a Master of Law from the George Washington University Law School.
