Standre is a Partner working at DFDL’s office in Vientiane and Ho Chi Minh, leading the M&A and labour practices in Laos and is deputy head of the regional M&A practice group. He was admitted as an attorney and notary public in South Africa in 2014 and is a registered foreign lawyer in Laos and Vietnam.
Standre specializes in both local and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, and has experience in the formation, structuring, and restructuring of business entities in Laos. He is at the forefront of the due diligence and transaction documentation for our M&A and secured lending transactions and routinely handles corporate, labor, regulatory and governance advisory matters.
Standre has led our team on recent M&A and financing transactions in the logistics, forestry, hospitality, insurance, mining and energy sectors.
Standre has over 7 years of experience in advising foreign invested companies, INGOs and embassies on their employment compliance and disputes and routinely drafts employment contracts, regulations and policy documents.
