Eduard is a U.S. lawyer licensed in California who has advised clients in Asia and the United States for over 20 years. His practice focuses on the technology sector, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, digital assets/blockchain, data protection, and venture capital transactions.
In addition to his client work, Eduard plays a leading role in DFDL’s internal legal knowledge management and workflow innovation initiatives. He serves as Lead Knowledge Manager, sits on the firm’s AI Strategic Initiative committee, and acts as AI Workflows Champion.
He speaks at conferences on data protection and artificial intelligence and coordinates multi-jurisdictional data protection work across DFDL’s regional network of offices.
In the blockchain sector, Eduard has advised clients since 2017, when he served as primary counsel for a token generation event valued at over USD 22 million. More recently, he acted as primary counsel on an international digital assets exchange’s entry into the Thailand market. He was also instrumental in securing the firm’s membership in the ERC-3643 Association, placing DFDL among a select group of international law firms contributing to a leading standard for compliant digital assets and real-world asset tokenization.
His venture capital experience includes advising on financing rounds for a biotechnology company that is now publicly listed on NASDAQ, as well as numerous angel investments on behalf of a Silicon Valley executive. He also acted as primary counsel for multiple private placements totaling over USD 20 million for a materials science company and has more recently advised on early-stage venture capital financings in Singapore.
Earlier in his career, Eduard worked at Baker McKenzie in Palo Alto and at Loeb & Loeb in Los Angeles. He also interned with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and has served as a lecturer or advisor for several universities in Thailand.
Eduard holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California (USC) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a member of the State Bar of California and has been based in Thailand since 2006.
